Description

Your favorite 18” Miss will look adorable in this beautiful Turn-of-the Century dress and pinafore, by Little Miss Muffett. Although not historically correct, in that the dress and pinny are made as one, the versatility of the dress is perfect for various Nursery Rhyme and Fairy-Tale characters. Closing with hook and loop tape in back, the lined dress bodice has a modest round neck, is fitted to the waist and has the option of long or short sleeves. The Pinafore has a pretty turn-back collar and a faux Center Front ‘opening’ with 3 small buttons. The dress has a full gathered skirt, and broad eyelet lace trim, topped with satin ribbon, finish the pinafore’s hem. This relatively easy PDF pattern is designed to fit 18” soft-bodied dolls such as American Girl®. 

Don t miss the little sister pattern designed to fit 14 – 14.5 inch dolls such as WellieWishers™ and Hearts for Hearts Girls®, also available at Pixie Faire.

Supplies Needed:
Fabric Used – Quilter’s Cotton was used for the dresses and Quilter’ Cotton and Eyelet Lace for the Pinafores. The bodices were lined with Lightweight Cotton. Eyelet Lace and Satin Ribbon were used for the trim on the Pinafore.

Fabric Requirements:
Dress : Quilter’s Cotton – 18” x 36”
Pinafore : Quilter’s Cotton – 11” x 36”
Bodice Lining : Lightweight Quilter’s Cotton – 6” x 16”

Notions:
hook and loop tape – 3 8” wide x 3 ¾”
Eyelet or Nylon Lace Trim for Pinafore Skirt – 2” wide x 36”
Ribbon for Pinafore Skirt – 3 8” wide x 36”
Buttons for Pinafore – ¼” wide x 3

Matching Thread, Marking Pen, Point Turner, general sewing supplies.
A ‘Universal Sewing Needle – 80 10’, a Walking Foot, a General Purpose Foot and a ¼” Foot are used during the sewing process.
