Rosamund is a sweetly feminine beret done in a highly textured stitch pattern that resembles little flowers, and is topped with a plump pom pom. This pattern is  designed to fit 18” dolls with a head circumference of approximately 12 ¼”, like American Girl. It s worked in the round on double pointed needles, and requires minimal finishing.

Sophie is a modern slouchy hat with a hemmed edge. The garter ridge stitch pattern gives it a
textured slinky-like look that emphasizes the casual fit.  Worked in the round with minimal finishing required.

Yarn
-135 yards of fingering weight
Needles
– Set of size US 2 (3.00mm) double pointed needles (DPNs) (or size required to obtain gauge)
Gauge
– 30 sts & 56 rounds = 4” in garter stitch in the round on size 2 needles
– In the Flowers Stitch Pattern used for the body of the hat, each “flower” is 4 sts wide. 18 sts (or 4 ½ flowers) = 2” on size 2 needles in the round.
