The Lisianthus dress PDF  pattern has a delicious retro flair and unique style details. Topstitching accents the chevron-pieced bodice, while the full skirt hearkens back to the sock hops of the 50′s. There’s a subtle nod to the present, though, in the gentle hi-lo contour of the skirt. Rayon seam binding spirals around the neckline and waist, culminating in the Melody Valerie signature bow.  It also sports a fully lined bodice, bound armholes, and an invisible zipper. The example dress features cotton lawn, but it would look beautiful made with cotton batiste, voile, or even a lightweight rayon. For a more winter-friendly look, try corduroy. Polyester, lightweight cotton, or china silk all work well as a lining.

-Scraps for bodice lining

-One 7-9″ invisible zipper

-1 and 1 4 yards ribbon or trim
